BOSS Husky Adult Male in Coldfoot, Alaska

My story
07/22/21 09:42 Boss was surrendered to the shelter for adoption after recently being brought to the shelter as a stray 3 times in 2 weeks. Boss was recently neutered, which may go a ways towards curbing his wandering enthusiasm!

When out and about, Boss would travel the roadways and get into trash, so his new owner will need to be sure to keep him either on leash or effectively confined when outside.

While we were unable to get any information from Boss' previous owners on his personality, habits, or training, the people that found Boss on one of his outings did state that he did great with their dogs, car rides, walked nicely on a leash and was overall `a very sweet boy`.

At the shelter, Boss has not always appreciated other male dogs. Now that he has been neutered, that behavior may lessen. Boss has been a great friend to the animal tenders while at the shelter and he is very popular!

Boss has been keeping his kennel clean, which may suggest he is housebroken.

It is unknown whether Boss has been around cats, small animals or livestock in his previous home, so introductions to new housemates (including other dogs) should be done slowly and carefully.

Boss is said to do wonderfully with children! Boss is a high energy breed who would do best in a home that can provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation.

He will need an active family that can spend time exercising him, so he doesn't find ways to entertain himself. If this handsome and personable boy could be the guy for you, please call the shelter!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt BOSS, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
