ODIN Siberian Husky Adult Male in Coldfoot, Alaska

My story
02/25/22 This handsome boy is Odin. He can be hesitant when meeting strangers but is very gentle and will allow pets. Once he becomes acquainted, he is not afraid to go in for a hug! He came in with a larger group of huskies that have only lived outside and are most likely not housebroken, so potential owners should keep this in mind if intending to make any of them pet dogs, as they will need to start with potty training and basic manners! Odin is a good eater but he does like to play a game of `hide the food bowl`!

Odin does quite well walking on leash but also enjoys lounging in his dog house. Although they were raised as sled dogs, their mushing history and line is unknown. Huskies are a high energy breed that will require an outlet such as skijoring, canicross, or a big yard to play in! It is unknown how any of these dogs will do with smaller animals, such as cats or pocket pets. However, huskies tend to have a high prey drive, so extreme caution should be used when introducing them to such animals. Odin has been friendly with his neighbors in the dog yard, but we recommend introducing him to new doggy companions in a controlled environment. If you are interested in meeting Odin, or any of his husky friends, please give the shelter a call!May 7, 2022, 10:55 pm
